Incorporated in 2002, this young contract city stretches nearly 8 miles along California’s Central Coast in Santa Barbara County, the City of Goleta is now home to a population of almost 30,000. Responsibilities of the Finance Department are carried out by 4.45 FTE who are organized across two programs – Administration and Budget Management.
The ideal candidate will possess attractive breadth and depth in municipal finance and will serve as a hands-on working manager who is adept at balancing multiple priorities. He/she will be an effective and credible communicator accustomed to translating complex financial information into understandable terms for a variety of audiences. The professional selected will have a strong team orientation complemented by a supportive management style. Previous management experience is highly desirable and a Bachelor’s degree is required. CPA certification is preferred.
