The ideal candidate will bring a strong leadership presence along with a history of inspiring and energizing subordinates. A reputation for having high standards and exceptional people management skills is expected. Ideal candidates will be well versed in community policing and contemporary resource deployment strategies. Any combination of experience, education and training will be acceptable. Typical qualifications could include seven (7) years of experience serving in a sworn capacity with at least 12 months serving at the rank of Lieutenant or equivalent, plus possession of a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree and/or completion of at least one formal leadership development program. Possession of appropriate California POST certificates is required.
Salary range $119,072 - $148,840. Salary is supplemented by a competitive benefits package.
