The ideal candidate will be a community oriented law enforcement professional known for producing exceptional results. A proactive problem solver, he/she will be familiar with modern and innovative policing practices. Any combination of experience, education and training will be acceptable. Typical qualifications could include five (5) years of experience serving in a sworn capacity in local law enforcement with at least 12 months serving as a supervisor at rank of Sergeant or equivalent, plus possession of a Bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree is also desirable. Possession of appropriate California POST certificates is required.
