Description: Under direction, performs the most difficult professional planning work requiring an advanced knowledge and understanding of planning principles and practice as they relate to the City’s planning programs.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in municipal, or urban and regional planning, or a related field required. Master’s Degree in a related field, preferred. Maintain an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification preferred. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in professional planning, or planning and development work, preferably at the local government level. One to two years supervisory experience. Maintain a valid California Driver License with a driving record acceptable to the City.
